Poll Finds Wide Support for Title IX

A recent poll of adults shows that people from all over the country support Title IX and equality for girls’ sports. Here are some of the poll’s important findings:

An overwhelming majority of adults support Title IX. In fact, eight in ten voters - or 82% - support the law.
The same number of people – 88% - also say they would support girls or their parents taking action to address situations in which girls’ high school teams are being treated worse than the boys’ teams.
Unfortunately, most people don’t know what to do if they learn of a problem in their community. Only 40% of people said they knew what steps to take to enforce Title IX. Learn more about what you can do.
